Compulsory Achievement Challenges

There are three compulsory achievement challenges associated with successfully completing your program and gaining coach certification. These three challenges must be completed and sent to the Chief Learning Officer on or before the time of your 24th teleclass training call. These challenges include the following:

1.

Minimum 12-hours total logged coaching practice. This challenge must be submitted for review upon the completion of your 24th course module.

In order to satisfy the compulsories of the program you must log the following:

  • 12-hours minimum coaching practice coaching hours with YOU as coach. These may be performed as either paid or unpaid hours.

    Keep a running record for each session that you perform. Your record must include a running number of your completed sessions including: date, name, length of session, phone number and marked as paid if applicable to that session. This form must be handed in at the conclusion of your program and will be added to your formal review.

*Download your Practice Log here. (Right-Click and select "Save" or "Save As")
This log in a "locked document" that you can save to your computer and fill out using the "Tab Key" on your keyboard to fill out the fields. If this doesn't work for you, you may print the form and fill it in manually, however, you will have to return it via fax to the Chief Learning Officer at the conclusion of your program rather than emailing it. Your log must include your clients email address. Clients will be contacted at random to check for authenticity of completing your work.

*Download the Coaching Consent Form. (Right-Click and select "Save" or "Save As")
this form should be used when coaching an individual while you are in training. This process informs that client that you are a coach in training and therefore, he/she agrees to and consents to coaching conversations while you are learning.

*Download a copy of a coaching agreement. (Right-Click and select "Save" or "Save As")
We believe that every coach should only work with an agreement in place. This of course, is not required for providing a "Sample Session." Any long dissertations involving agreements, missed sessions, etc, may only serve to inhibit the best workings of the Sample Session. Many coaches find it best to have much of the information regarding contractual agreements, fees, responsibilities, etc, available by pamphlet or email.

*Download the Enneagram Personality Test. (Right-Click and select "Save" or "Save As")
Before you fully commit to your client, you may want to discover more about his or her personality and learning style.

2.

Creation of one Coaching Assessment Tool: This achievement challenge must be prepared and submitted for review upon completion of your 24th course module.

You will find the download which contains instructions for creating a Coaching Assessment Tool in the Student Area. Please create your Coaching Assessment Tool in a “Word Document” so that it is easily sent to the school's administrative team via email. Your coaching assessment can be on your topic of choice and should include:

  • A strong introduction paragraph as to why the information from the assessment will be insightful;
  • Minimum of 20-questions on topic;
  • 3-teir Score Key, accompanied by a paragraph explaining each of the possible outcomes of the score;
  • A disclaimer clearly stating that the assessment is not intended for therapeutic work and is used only for exploration with the client.
Your Coaching Assessment Tool must be handed in at the conclusion of your 24-week program before you take your final exam.

  Sample Assessment and Score-Key. The sample Coaching Assessment that we have provided you with is called "Real Coachability." Within the ZipFile you'll find the assessment and the accompanying score key.

3.

Ideal Client Profile: Successful business means knowing who your ideal client is - in other words, who it is that you wish to serve. It follows then, that the better you can identify your ideal client and his or her needs and biggest problems, the better you can design your program, programming information, website and advertising materials.

This exercise will walk you through this process. Read and follow the instructions carefully. This "Ideal Client Profile" must be handed in at the conclusion of your 24-week program before you take your final exam.

Final Examination: Your exam must be booked within 15-days of completing your 24-course modules.

When you have completed all 24 lecture segments you must have your Coaching Assessment Tool and your Business Plan ready for submission to the school's administrative team for review. Under normal circumstances, review of your work takes only a few short days. Once the review is complete, you will proceed to completing your final examination.

Details of the examination:

  • Examination Outline:

    • The exam comes via email as a MS Word document and is locked so that you can only fill in the appropriate information as you move through the exam.

    • Section 1 - Thirty-three questions relating directly to the 24 course modules;

    • Section 2 - Sixteen multiple choice questions whereby you are asked to indicate which statement demonstrates a proficiency in the coaching conversation;

    • Section 3 - Six essay questions where you are asked to write a minimum of 100 words on each of the topics.

  • Booking Your Exam: Your final exam should be booked to be completed within two weeks of completing your 24-modules of the program. The Chief Learning Officer will initiate the booking of your exam through the CCA office on your behalf.

  • Receiving Your Exam: The final exam is sent to you through email via auto-responder. This means that when you provide the CCA with your date of choice, the CCA will send you an email that will require you to click on an active link within that email to "confirm your subscription." Once you take this action, the CCA will automatically receive a follow up email indicating that this action was done successfully. The CCA office will then set up the auto-delivery of your exam for the day that you wish to receive it. Your exam will automatically arrive in the early morning hours.

  • Returning Your Exam: You must return the exam via email to the Chief Learning Officer no later than midnight (your time) the same day that you receive it. Neglecting to return your exam within the allocated time means that you will be penalized and that you must rewrite at your own cost.

  • Exam Review: Your exam will be reviewed by no less than three staff members or Advisory. You will receive your exam results within several working days via email from the Chief Learning Officer.

  • Successful Passing Grade:  A successful passing grade is 80% or greater. You will receive notice only of a "Pass" or "Fail." In the unlikely event that you do not pass your examination you will receive a written assessment. You are permitted a rewrite within 30-days.

  • Examination Rewrite Costs: In the unlikely event that you do not pass your examination, or should you not return your examination within the designated time-line, the cost to rewrite your exam is $250.00 USD. So please do you best work!

    • The acceptance of your Coaching Assessment Tool;

    • Any information or concerns that may be posed by the school's administrative team.
